We read in Psalm 89, olam chesed yibaneh, “let us build the world from unbounding compassion.” Rabbi Menachem Creditor put these words to music shortly after September 11, 2001 for his newborn daughter, dreaming of the world she would inhabit.
We can build this world from love. We teach this melody to the children in our Rabbi Leslie Yale Gutterman Religious School with great hope in the future.
Let this day of remembrance inspire us in memory and in service.
Shabbat Service and B'nei Mitzvah of Tai Mertes, child of Melissa Kievman and Brian Mertes. We look forward to celebrating with the Family as Tai is called to the Torah to become a B'nei Mitzvah.
