Madrichim

Madrichim (plural of Madrich [m], Madricha [f] or Madricheh [gn]) are students in Grades 8-12 who wish to serve as either teachers’ aides in our Lower School (PreK - Grade 4), B Mitzvah Academy (Grades 5-7) or assist with other jobs around the school.

Qualifications for this job include an interest in working with children and extending your own Jewish knowledge and involvement, and a willingness to take direction from the classroom teacher and/or Ed Team.  Madrichim must be responsible and provide a positive role model for younger children.

Madrichim must be in Grade 8-12 and commit to being at school for each session as well as attend monthly Faculty/Staff Meetings on Zoom.  Madrichim are also encouraged to participate in our Thursday evening TBE Teens nights that will offer programming that will support their work in the classrooms.  There will be a few specific weeks (TBD) designated for direct training that Madrichim are asked to attend should they not choose to participate each week.

In addition to valuable leadership training, students will be paid $720 for the year or can use this experience for community service credit.
