WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2024/5785

TICKETS:
We will offer a virtual High Holy Day ticket for all services this year. This option allows us to be more environmentally conscious and for all members to have quick and easy access to their tickets.
If you prefer a hard copy of your ticket, please contact Kim in the office, and we can arrange for them to be picked up or mailed to you.

MULTI-ACCESS:
All services will continue to be accessible remotely as well as in person. These services will be broadcast using the cameras installed in our sanctuary and will be accessible via Livestream on our website: https://www.temple-beth-el.org/live-streaming.

Please contact the office with any questions regarding the High Holy Days.

SECURITY:

We ask for your cooperation with regard to the following security measures set in place for the High Holy Days.

  • Please present your virtual ticket or guest pass as you enter the Temple. No one will be admitted without a ticket.
  • Our ushers will help maintain the dignity of our services and, at the same time, be aware of the surroundings. Ushers will be posted in the back, sides and front of the sanctuary.
  • Please do not bring backpacks or large parcels.
  • Bags of food donated for the High Holy Day Food Drive should be left outside the Temple in shopping carts. Our ushers and Social Justice Initiative members will open and sort each bag.
  • As we have done each year, the Temple will hire uniformed police officers to be stationed both inside and outside of the building during all High Holy Day worship services.
  • Temple staff will be on hand in both the back parking lot and at the front entrance for anyone requiring assistance.
  • Several members who are medical professionals will be available during worship services. If someone feels ill, we will contact our appointed on-call medical professional.
  • In the event of an emergency evacuation, follow the ushers’ guidance to the nearest exit.

Although we have no indication of an emergency, the above measures are important for our well-being and security.
Thank you for your cooperation.
