This time of year is rife with transitions. The warm days of summer turn to the new school year, and we segue from the joy of Rosh Hashana to the more introspective Yom Kippur. This week’s parashah, Ha’azinu, also known as Shirat Moshe, is the final poem Moses delivers to Israel. It is a point of transition for both Moses and the children of Israel as they enter the Promised Land while he stays behind on Mt. Nebo.
I remain grateful to you, my TBE family, as we enter Shabbat Shuva, the Sabbath of Return. I look forward to the journey with you this Yom Kippur as we enter 5784. May you be inscribed in the Book of Life, and may the New Year be sweet and healthy. I leave you with a treat for the New Year and especially for any fans of the band Chicago. Shabbat Shalom, Judy
