We are grateful to Mayor Brett Smiley for proclaiming May as
Jewish American History Month in the City of Providence.
In celebrating the enduring heritage of Jewish Americans whose contributions have shaped our city, state, and nation we stand against the rising tide of antisemitism in New England. Celebrating the vibrant, joyful, and meaningful observance of Jewish life and values with hope in a better future is the strongest rebuke of such hatred and we remain ever grateful to our leaders who stand up to antisemitism.
