This week’s Torah portion, Terumah, is all about building the Mishkan that will hold the tablets as the Israelites cross the desert. God asks the Israelites to bring gifts to contribute to the building of the tabernacle, and the portion goes into great detail on what will be required. The Eternal One spoke to Moses, saying: "Tell the Israelite people to bring Me gifts; you shall accept gifts for Me from every person whose heart is so moved." - Exodus 25:1-2
This past week I was privileged to participate in intensive courses with exams to further my education and learning in synagogue management. NATA Institute (National Association For Temple Administration) is a week-long intensive aimed at enhancing Executive Directors’ ability to serve and lead congregations. Institute brings together synagogue professionals from across the country to learn and grow. Additionally, I was chosen, along with 5 other Synagogue Administrators, to be a 2023 Leadership candidate and to participate in further leadership training alongside the current NATA board. I have been so inspired by the depth of learning, the camaraderie of colleagues, and the joy that we all share as synagogue professionals. I know that the opportunity to spend the week receiving insightful lessons from veteran Executive Directors will help to build me into a stronger professional, so I can continue to support and enhance our incredible Temple Beth-El community. I am so grateful for this gift.
