Message from Cantor Judy Seplowin
“I Guess That’s Why They Call it a Spiel”
Be happy; it’s Adar! On March 9th at 7 PM, you will be pulled into a Shushan of Elton John melodies, glittery costumes and silly dialogue per usual. Penned by my extremely creative colleague, Cantor Jamie Marx, we have added additional parodied songs by Steven Dulude, Beth-El’s Controller, to include more people and wow you with more craziness! I am grateful to my wonderful spielers, a cast of fun-loving congregants of all ages and a fabulous band who have worked so hard to pull this production together. But let me circle back to Steven Dulude, who has directed and staged the entire show, has created imaginative crowns and headpieces and supervised rehearsals when I had to tend to other cantorial commitments. I am truly grateful to Steven and his organizational skills and could not have done it without his help! You don’t want to miss this one!
B’shira, Judy Seplowin
