In the past twenty-four hours (I’m writing this on Monday), I’ve received numerous congratulatory texts and emails following yesterday afternoon’s exciting Cantors in Concert. My colleagues and I were so thrilled to perform for you and even more delighted that you derived joy from the event, whether it was in-person or via zoom.
I am grateful to Arnold and Sheila Kaufman and their family for generously supporting the program. What an opportunity and a gift to share so much positivity with the congregation. Thanks again to my detail-oriented committee for creating an elegant ambience, to my clergy partners and TBE office and maintenance staff for their physical help and support of these special musical programs.
I wish you all a holiday filled with love, hope and joy. During this time of thanksgiving, I am aware of the blessings in my life. Everyday, the news reminds me that so many people struggle and are not as fortunate as I am. I pray that humanity finds a path toward peace, inclusivity and tolerance toward all humans, irrespective of race, religion or gender.
