Services
Shabbat
Our doors are open to all who seek to worship, learn and serve the community.
Services at Temple Beth-El are a learning experience. During the service members of the Minyan are encouraged to raise their hand if they have a question regarding the structure of the service, the meaning of a prayer, the interpretation of the Torah portion or a comment regarding the practice of Judaism.
Our goal is to broaden the understanding of Judaism. And through better understanding establish each individual’s relationship with G-d. Join us to experience our interactive service. Come learn with us.
Shabbat Hallelu – Abundant and filling hors-d’oeuvres will be served followed by an uplifting musical Shabbat featuring our TempleBeth-El Musicians and a short D’var Torah.
Soulful Shabbat – Emphasizes quiet melody, meditation, and movement, along with traditional davening and Torah Study.
Family Shabbat Dinner/Shabbat service – led by RLYGRS Students.
Under the Stars – Join us as we gather together on the Julie Claire Gutterman Biblical Garden patio to greet Shabbat with song and stories.
K’tantan Shabbat and Dinner – A worship service and Shabbat dinner specially designed for families with very young children. Songs, games, and crafts to learn all about Shabbat.
Daily Minyan
Join us for Daily Minyan
Saturday-Thursday at 5:45 PM in the Herman L Bennett Chapel.
Not only will we be able to fulfill the important mitzvah of helping others recite the Mourners Kaddish, it is a wonderful way to open our hearts and minds allowing God’s presence into our lives. Dating back to 1955, our daily minyan is the oldest daily minyan in the Reform movement. At the service, individuals say kaddish for the departed and offer solace and comfort to the bereaved. We invite synagogue members to call the Temple Beth-El office, at 401.331.6070, with the names of their dearly departed to be read at our services.
We encourage and welcome our congregants to attend the daily minyan service. Open to all, our services offer an ideal opportunity for moments of prayer and reflection after a busy day and to support fellow congregants who are saying kaddish. Held in the Herman L. Bennett Chapel, services begin at 5:45 pm, end at 6:00 pm, and are lay-led. Services are held every night except Friday for most of the year.
