Engaging our youth in meaningful ways is a major part of our Temple Beth-El community. We provide engaging social activities for students to spend time together in and outside of Religious School.
AZEH KEF* (Grades 1-3) provides programming for young elementary school students .
SABABAH* (Grades 4-5) is for our older elementary and emerging middle schoolers.
JR. PROVTY (Grades 6-8) is for our middle school students.
*Azeh Kef translates to "So fun!" and Sababah means "Awesome!"
PROVTY (Grades 8-12)
Temple Beth-El’s High School Youth Group, led by teens for teens in Grades 8-12
provides a venue for Jewish teens to meet and develop friendships in a Jewish setting.
This is accomplished with many local events – shul-ins, scavenger hunts, running the
Purim Carnival, monthly Shabbat dinners and services and much more.
NFTY Northeast (Grades 9-12)
The North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) is a movement that builds
strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement.
Together, they pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment,
and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism.
NFTY’s Northeast Region includes Connecticut (excluding Fairfield County),
Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, upstate New York
and Montreal, Canada.
