Why is this Passover different from all other Passovers?

Since we can't celebrate Passover this year they way we may have done so in the past, we hope this page helps you create a  meaningful holiday celebration at home.  Be creative and easy on yourselves, for this is a Passover like none most of us has experienced.

What's on your Seder plate? Between the Seder plate, symbolic meal, and staying within the kosher for Passover rules, by the time I sit down to that first bite of gefilte fish, I let out a big sigh of relief. But this doesn’t have to be the case! Whether you are serving a meal for 4 or 40, planning ahead and picking delicious recipes can ensure an enjoyable experience. Here are a few tips to Seder success.

The Seder Plate

Realizing that it might be hard to get every element of the seder plate with grocery delivery and social distancing here are some creative ideas:

The Shank Bone could be replaced by an Egg or a Beet, Karpas could be any vegetable.  If horseradish is not available, it is possible to use another vegetable or fruit that can bring a tear to the eye: hot peppers, fresh ginger, mustard greens, raw lemon. In Israel, romaine lettuce is commonly used as maror. Here are some other creative seder plate substitutions.
