Rabbi Leslie Y. Gutterman arrived in 1970 and became Temple Beth-El’s senior rabbi four years later. He, Rabbi Sarah Mack and Cantor Judith Seplowin lead members of our temple family in worship and such meaningful life cycle ceremonies as brit milah, naming of children, consecration, b'nei mitzvah, confirmation, conversions to Judaism, weddings and funerals. In addition to our daily minyan and regular Shabbat services, we also hold special services. These include monthly family services, when we honor children whose birthdays occur during the month; Shabbat Hallelu, a monthly informal service with guest musicians; and our summer services, Shabbat under the Stars that we hold on the Julie Claire Gutterman Patio. Temple Beth-El offers child care during High Holiday services.  Each year, Sisterhood and Brotherhood sponsor a Rosh Hashanah reception and Yom Kippur break-the-fast.
