| BROTHERHOOD |
Drop the kids off at Sunday School and experience the
ambience of the Bagel Café. Enjoy the
camaraderie with the morning papers (including the Sunday N.Y. Times) as you breakfast. The Café is sponsored by the Temple Beth-El Brotherhood, whose good works include helping to support youth and
school activities, and supplying each family in our
school with a yellow candle for Yom HaShoah. Our goal
is to have every male in the congregation join Brotherhood.

| HAVURAH |
Derived from the Hebrew word for "friend," Havurah offers an informal way to make a large temple friendly and personal. Each Havurah is an independent group that determines its own activities. Its purpose is to study, discuss or celebrate any aspect of Jewish life. Call us and we will do our best to find the right fit for you, whether you are a single adult, couple or a young family. |
| PROVTY |
The Youth (PROVTY) Committee serves to set
policy and guidelines for the temple youth groups:
PROVTY (serving grades 9-12), Junior
PROVTY (members in grades 7 and 8), and Sababah (serving grades 4-6). The committee
also acts as an advocate for our youth groups with
the Temple Board. |
| SISTERHOOD |
The
Women of Reform Judaism Sisterhood of Temple Beth-El offers
the opportunity for women to find spiritual, educational, and friendship
bonds within the congregation as well as other local, regional and
national Sisterhood organizations. Annual special events include the Donor Event, Paid-Up Members Dinner, Learn, Lunch and Play, Sisterhood Shabbat Service, and
the Film Festival. Sisterhood also sponsors
a Rosh Hashanah Children's Reception, and Yom Kippur Break-the Fast.
There are opportunities to volunteer at all of our events or to serve
as committee chairs. |
