Mitzvah Day

Each site has its own special Chairperson.
Working with the Religious School and Brotherhood, Mitzvah Day is our annual grand finale. Hundreds of Temple members of all ages and levels of energy spend a Sunday morning at sites throughout Rhode Island doing a variety of tasks including painting, picking up trash and gardening. This past year volunteers worked at the Temple sorting clothes, preparing food for Crossroads RI, at Rhode Island Recycling for Education, at two Jewish cemeteries, at halfway houses and community gardens, at city parks, and at
the Varieur School in Pawtucket.

Chairpersons are Gary Schine and Ellen Berlinsky.
