Grade 1: Jewish Traditions

Grade 1 students continue to learn about the holidays, their symbols and observances. They are introduced to early Bible stories (Creation, Adam and Eve, Noah, the Tower of Babel, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Esau, Joseph). Students are introduced to the concept of mitzvot – sacred obligations - as they study basic Jewish ethical precepts.
