Sisterhood - Women of Reform Judaism
The Women of Reform Judaism, Sisterhood of Temple Beth-El (Sisterhood) offers the opportunity for women to find spiritual, educational, and friendship bonds within the congregation as well as through other local, regional, and national Sisterhood organizations.
Annual special events include the Donor Event, the paid-up membership event, "Learn, Lunch and Play," a lunch for the visually impaired called the In-Sight luncheon (Temple Beth-El is the only synagogue in RI that sponsors the In-Sight luncheon), the March annual meeting program and the March Jewish Film Festival, the Passover raffle, and the Sisterhood Shabbat service.
During the High Holy Days, Sisterhood sponsors a Rosh Hashanah family reception and a Yom Kippur break-the-fast that is cosponsored by Brotherhood. Sisterhood members also participate in Rosh Hodesh and reading circle gatherings.
