Learn, Lunch, and Play

Learn, Lunch, and Play is a program Zara Matzner had created, and we retain its name to remember her. Although the food is different from year to year, dessert is always Zara’s special lemon tarts to honor her memory.

Sisterhood annually helps support the religious school, the teacher orientation luncheon, provides a scholarship to support youth leadership training and gives support for renovations of and supplies for the main kitchen. Sisterhood has made donations for library computerization, purchases of chairs and tables for the Silverstein meeting hall, restrooms that are accessible to individuals with disabilities, furniture for the religious school, and more.
