The Friendly Visitor Program

The Friendly Visitor Program primarily benefits our elderly congregants by matching them with a volunteer congregant. The friendly visitors receive training and support in order to be well-prepared to conduct visits with congregants who live alone, in assisted living facilities, or in nursing homes. Although the clergy make many referrals, temple staff or family members may also request that their loved ones receive a friendly visitor. We maintain confidentiality within the context of a respectful relationship. If you want to receive visits from a friendly visitor or if you know someone who might benefit from the program, please contact hineinu@temple-beth-el.org.
